New! Single Version of Vista Help

You can now access up-to-date information about Vista in one place.

All Vista content is now available in a single version of Help on Viewpoint Help (https://help.viewpoint.com). This means that no matter what version of Vista you are on, when you access Help from the Vista application you will get the latest version of Vista content.

Please review the following Frequently Asked Questions for more detailed information.

Why did this change happen?

This change has a number of benefits, all centered around ensuring that you have access to the most up-to-date information on Vista.

Some benefits include:

  • All users will see the most up-to-date Vista Help content and be aware of new features available in the latest versions of the software.
  • It provides one location to find all information on tax updates, cloud deployment options, integrations, etc.
  • It provides a single, canonical source for Vista content online, enabling search engines to display only the latest information.
  • It eliminates the chances of finding outdated or irrelevant information.

What about older Vista Help sites that are not on Viewpoint Help?

All versions of Vista Help prior to 2021 R1 (previously on separate, standalone sites) are now redirected to the Vista Help home page on Viewpoint Help.

Does F1 still work?

For all users on versions 2021 R1 and forward, pressing F1 continues to open the related Help article as it has in the past. For anyone using a version prior to 2021 R1, pressing F1 opens the Vista Help home page on Viewpoint Help.

Do bookmarks to Vista Help pages still work?

No, they don't. For users on all versions of Vista, you will need recreate your bookmarks on Viewpoint Help.

Did we lose access to historical information like release notes?

Though outdated versions of Vista Help are no longer available, a record of release notes from version 6.17.0 forward is available (see Pre-2021 R1 Release Notes). There are also PDF copies of older release notes available on the Customer Support Portal.

If you are running a legacy version of Vista, in some cases, you may see a discrepancy between the software and the Help content. However, we'll ensure that when you open the Help, either by pressing F1 or browsing from the Vista Help home page, you will continue to find relevant information when you need it.
